This work stems from a series of unrelated, violent homicides which took place during the nine year period my sister, mother, and I lived in Ellicott City, MD - an area touted annually as one of the best places in the country to raise a family. There remains little to no physical evidence of these crimes, yet their relationship to place will always carry on. I am tracing the lines where suburban landscape and extreme violence overlap.
